I brought them for a trip up to Seattle, walked all over the city and went snowshoeing at Mt. Rainer. My feet didn't felt tired or hurt at all, and most importantly, they kept my feet warm and dry. Since then, I've worn them on many hiking trip and no complaints from my feet!

Nice! Very comfortable and nice looking. My only objection is that the toe seems wide for me. The rest of the hiking boot fit fine. By putting an insole in these, I was able to compensate for the toe area.

Great hiking boots- very cute and durable. The fact that they are completely waterproof sold me. They run true to size and are very comfortable. A great buy!

Great shoes! I have worn these shoes in the rain, sleet and snow. They have kept my feet warm and dry every time I have worn them. I bought them for a trip to Europe in March and have been wearing them all the time to break them in. These are the only shoes I am taking on my trip and I am not worried at all. They are comfortable and feel like a tennis shoe. The ankles did take a little bit to get used to, since the shoes come above the ankle, but it only took a little bit of wearing to do so. I look forward to wearing my new shoes on my trip and have recommended them to several friends!

Can’t wait - I purchased these shoes to prepare for hiking some 14ers in Colorado. Been wearing them for a couple weeks and they feel great! Can’t wait to get to the mountains!

Slippery When Wet! These shoes are extremely slippery on even slightly wet surfaces. I slipped walking on the Great Wall of China, & slipped again walking on a smooth wood hiking trail. They are like ice skates! On dry surfaces they perform great, are light and need no break in time. I just don't understand why a water resistant shoe can't perform on wet surfaces. Most other travelers had slip issues with several other brands. My husbands waterproof New Balance hiker didn't slip and another woman was wearing "round about or all around"? (purchased from Zappos) that didn't slip.

Avid hiker LOVES these boots!!!! We hike all kinds of terrain. I do agree somewhat with the first reviewer, although mine lasted about a year and a half... BUT... I'm ordering a second pair because they're so unbelievably comfortable!!! I spent $150 on a pair of leather Vasque hikers, which I also wear, and have had them for years, but they're still so stiff, these were soft and comfortable, with no break in time, and that's why I'm ordering more. I'm willing to buy a little more often. I guess when the footbed is so soft and mushy, they don't last as long, but it's worth it. We tromp through streams and my feet have never gotten wet, no blisters etc. Way to go North Face.

Not good for- DO NOT BUY THIS SHOE IF YOU ARE AN AVID HIKER. This shoe fell apart after 5 months of pretty intense hiking. I worked this shoe hard, but regardless, I have paid the same price for shoes from Montrail, Lowe, or Vasque, and they have all lasted YEARS! This is a good, lightweight shoe for light to medium hiking, and will do fine if you do not put it up to any intense use. Like most things North Face, it seems most appropriate for urban hikers and those who are into the outdoor metropolitan chic look.

Great shoe, amazing support and comfort. Icy terrain and mud should be no problem.
