Got the job done!

Anonymous at Altrec on 11/09/2007

I wore these paddle shoes for the first time yesterday and my feet were very comfortable. I did not wear them with waterproof socks and I was fine for limited water exposure. They are not stiff yet you feel like your feet are supported and protected. I didn't have a problem with them drying out over night (in 40F weather). I usually wear a 9 or 9.5 women's shoe and I ordered a size 8. The 8 is a snug fit but the 9 would have been too big.

oh my goodness-gracious-stars-and-stripes! these boots are GREAT dude! wading, walking the beach, kayaking, fishing, whatever it is that you do, these all great all-arounders! lightweight yet thick, warm and VERY comfortable, easy to put on, easy to take off, its that simple ladys and gents. the sole on the bottom is great- hard and durable which ive NEVER seen on a pair of booties before- attractive, functional, durable, highly reccomended, and an all around great value, the best deal on high quality gear around- where else, right?

Great Paddle Shoe!

I bought one pair and the size was too big even though I did use the sizing chart. They fit my husband perfect so I purchased another pair in a smaller size for myself. We are both very happy with them as they accommodate various layers of socks as well as dry suit booties with comfort.

Warm feet in cold waters....

I could not zip them all the way up with socks and liners inside... used them anyways. but they do feel good... they feel great even after 6 hours in my kayak. I can not say that about other footwear.

great product

This little bootie has served me well. Fit was right on with the sizing chart. Shoe is tough enough for scrambling around on Baja igneous rock. No problem with sand entering the boot. Love em!

Great Fast Service

Rating:
Service was really fast. I originally ordered the wrong size of paddle shoes. I got the correct size only 5 days of returning the original pair. Keep up the great work.

snug and rugged

Rating:
This is a great paddle shoe; keeps your feet dry up to a point, and then warm when wet. Great for hopping in and out of your boat.

Light but stable

A great boot! Light weight but snug fit and kept my feet warm in cold water. Good grips for safe stance on rocks and hard surfaces.

Great Gift

These were a gift and it was just what I needed. They do run big so I wear a 9 and needed to get an 8......

Just what I was looking for.

Exactly what I wanted. Offers extra insulation for cold weather paddling. Wears well for portages and around camp.

Negative Reviews:

There's better stuff out there...

Anonymous at Altrec on 10/09/2005
Rating:
First off I'll say that I'm an avid whitewater paddler. Every weekend. Even in the winter. Had a pair of these. Pros: Good thick insulation. Sturdy and well-secured rand, never separated from the neoprene. Cons: Poor ventilation. The rand is so stiff it's impossible to turn them inside-out so it took 4 days to dry them. Also, the zipper blew out after 1 1/2 seasons. Not bad, there's worse out there but there's better stuff too. Spend the extra 20 bones on some Nike ACS.

Seam in middle of insole

Lee, a kayaker at Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) on 11/11/2007
Rating:
inside of one boot is twisted and hte seam runs under the heel - uncomfortable. Size is tight/slightly small

Loose upper

Beth at Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) on 05/14/2008
Rating:
The upper part of the show was very loose. Also, none of the shoe sizes fit me well - I'm women's 8 and the size 6 was too tight, size 7 too loose. Seemed like a good-quality shoe for people who could find the right fit, but I ended up exchanging them for a pair of Teva river shoes.
