Can't wear them out - I've had a pair for five years now. I've worn them almost constantly during the warm months and on vacations during that time. I've worn them on city streets and on rough, wet trails, and on the beach. Despite owning several pairs of technical sandals, these remain my favorite pair for nearly all environments. They have also been through the washer/dryer at least nine times, and aside from the dye fading a bit, are not much worse for wear. They do run big, and since they don't actually make them small enough for me (I'm a female with a wide foot who often wears men's 7/8), they do fit loosely. But they are still very secure--I can run in them without loosing them or twisting an ankle. My only real complaint is that they don't make them in black. I've tried other brands (Hush Puppies, Doc Martens, Timberland) in black, and none of them even come close.

Excellent sandals - Well made and comfortable. I expect them to last for years. My only beef is sizing. I normally wear 8 1/2 or 9. Based on the comments I ordered down to 8. They were huge! So I returned them and ordered 7. Size seven works but just barely. The adjustment strap is tightened all the way to fit me and there's plenty of room. A 6 would probably fit better but 7 is OK and I needed sandals. Once you need to order down three sizes, you have to wonder if they paid any attention at all to standard sizing in manufacturing these sandals.

Finally a great sandal - I bought these for my husband after his Doc Martens broke... for the third time. Tired of continually having to repair his Doc’s I talked him into trying these on at the local mall - he loved them right away! As other reviewers have noticed, they run big - my guy usually wears a size 12W, and he went to an 11M in this one. He wears these everywhere now, and it's a total win - the other day he even admitted to a friend that he liked them better than his old Doc’s. I couldn't be happier!

Excellent Comfort

This is my first pair of Clarks. My wife has always raved about the comfort of her Clarks. I must say I am quite impressed by the overall comfort of this sandal compared to others I have owned.<br/>It feels like they were custom built for my foot. No blisters!!! I normally wear a 10 in most shoes. When I received the sandal it felt like an 11. Simple return and received a size 9 about a week later.

Monk-like sandals with class, size 11D - Not a sandal-wearer was surprised when this size 11D sandal fit well. My regular shoe size now (at age 77), 12 or 12.5EEE; used to be 10.5. I think the sandal straps are forgiving as well as flexible. So, my comment on size, below, is meant as a positive. Now when I go to a Franciscan retreat house I will have appropriate and better-looking footwear than theirs!

Heavenly - I had no idea sandals could be this comfortable! Every time I wear them, I am amazed by how good they feel and they required no break-in time. I have to confess that I ignored all the recommendations about the size. I ALWAYS wear a 10. Anyway the 9s were out of stock. Sent the 10s back, waited for the 9s - perfection! Well worth the wait. Thank you Zappos!

Very Comfortable - I ordered these for my husband who had previously refused to even try on sandals. We were going to St. Lucia and everybody wears sandals there so he finally put them on. Well even though it was February (in Chicago) he wore them the rest of the day around the house because they were so comfortable---and every day while on vacation.

Best ever - I bought my first pair in 2004 before I traveled through Europe during a hot summer. I will be retiring them this summer 2008! Four years these shoes brought me comfort, durability, and style. I will be ordering my next pair tomorrow. Can't wait for them to arrive!

Second pair in 4 years - Your feet settle right into the sandal and it forms to your feet. After a few days of wearing, they are a perfect fit. I wear them from April ‘til November. Only little problem is my outside of feet rub against strap.

Comfortable - This is my 3rd pair. I wear them all the time. In particular I go to Thailand a few times a year and walk a lot. They are nice on the beach and in town. Good quality, you do get what you pay for!
