First Character Shoe Ever! I bought these shoes for a show at school; they were my first pair of character shoes ever. My choreographer wanted us to get tan, 3 in heels, so I decided on this after all the great reviews I read. I absolutely love them! They are so comfortable, and I love the way they look. After seeing my shoe, many other people in the cast went and bought the same ones. Even my choreographer commented on how nice they looked. They were delivered in a few days, and they've only hurt after a long rehearsal when I didn't wear tights. I'm normally a 7 or 7 1/2, depending on the shoe, so I went with 7 1/2 and that was slightly big on me. I got some pads for it, and they fit fine now. I would definitely recommend this shoe, you can't even tell you're wearing 3 inch heels, and they look so much nicer than shorter, chunkier character shoes.

Great Stage Shoe For Short People! I already own 2 other pairs of this shoe; just bought this pair because I couldn't find the others and I had to have them on short notice for a show. The higher heel is excellent for short actors. A little harder to dance in, but not if the choreography is slow or easy. I normally wear a 6 1/2, so that's what I ordered, but there's almost a good 1/2 inch empty space between the back of my heel and the shoe, so you might consider ordering a 1/2 size smaller. Having said that, after buckling up the strap, I experienced no shifting or slipping of my foot in the shoe, so the fact that they were too big didn't affect my movement. Excellent shoe.

Some heel problems, but overall fantastic. I decided on these shoes after reading some poor reviews on the Capezio Manhattans. They came very quickly and are gorgeous shoes. I have worn them in theatre and dancing work for up to 6+ hours without foot pain. My only issue was that one of the heel pads disappeared after only one night of dancing. I took them to a shoe repair shop and they felt that the pads weren't very secure - they took out the other one and put on a new matching pair, and they seem to have held up well since. Other than that small frustration, I would definately recommend these shoes.

Dancing in Comfort and Style! I bought these for my daughter who needed them for a play and for dance. She has other Capezio's but none with a 3" heel. She slipped into these and immediately started dancing! She said they are comfortable and easy to dance in and that she likes the way they make her legs look longer! She has worn them for as long as 3 hours, which is when she says they start to hurt her feet. 3 hours dancing in 3" heels! She now wants me to buy all her character/dance shoes in this heel.

Not just for dancing anymore! I stand at my job for as much as 7 hours stretches. But I love heels; these are comfort deluxe for a 3" heel! I would go 1/2 size larger if you walk a lot but they're plenty roomy width-wise. I constantly receive compliments on their look especially with pants. And best of all, they don't slip on waxed floors like regular shoes. Move over dancers, these shoes are for many more of us in love with comfort and heels!

This is a 3" heel? I bought these because I love the look of a dance shoe just to wear as regular shoes. I always buy the ones with a 3" heel for maximum lift. This shoe is marked as having a 3" heel, but I beg to differ. The heel on these is much shorter, leaving the overall look a little too dumpy for my taste. I purchased the pro stage instead. They have an actual 3" heel.

Ok, I was silly... I went to Capezio's official site to look at a size chart, and they said to order one size larger than your "street" shoe size. I did, and they were way too big. Thanks to Zappos, I was able to return them and order my normal size with absolutely no trouble. These are great character shoes - comfortable to jump and dance in. You'd never be able to tell they are 3" heels.

Zappos was quick & wonderful. My Capezio Theatrical Footlights were super my 1st night out with them. Looked great & felt great. By the 3rd wear, the small rubber heel protector fell off one shoe. The shoe repairer said the rubber was too soft& he fixed it. So far I'm reasonably satisfied & am waiting for weeks & months of dancing to come to better gauge this shoe.

Very comfortable - As a beginner dancer I wanted to make sure I started with good quality. I did my research and found this shoe, and it's probably the best purchase I've ever made. I ordered 1/2 size larger than I usually wear and they're a little big, but I added an extra cushion insole from the drug store and they're even more comfy than before! Awesome.

Size? These shoes are very cute, but I had only one problem: I own the Capezio jr. footlights in a 9.5 and I bought these in the same size thinking they would fit but they turned out to be about 2-3 sizes too big. I thought it was a mistake but I ordered the same pair from two different places and had the same problem.
