| I was looking for some black boots that were more dressy than my daily Ariats, but not too dressy. These are perfect from that standpoint. The first pair I ordered was really nice quality, but had a crease running down the center of the top of the left boot. For $180 that's not acceptable. So I ordered another pair. The second pair seemed much cheaper. They have been made from a completely different (and inferior) grade of leather. It is shinier, and creases easily when you touch it. I still had the first pair, and side-by-side there is no comparison. I ended up keeping the first pair with the minor imperfection. I didn't want to order a third pair just to see what quality turned up. Unless you are prepared to make several returns, I would be cautious about ordering these - or possible any other Calvin Klien boots. | |
