These shoes are gorgeous but the metal heel began to loosen up on me within 4 hours of wearing the shoe (at work, I'm a manager & sit at my desk for most of the day). It has not fallen or broken off yet, but I'm afraid it might. If you buy these examine the heel and walk around the house a LOT before you decide to keep it. Otherwise the shoe was comfortable & I spent 12 hours in them today. The toe was a bit tight at first, but broke in quickly. My feet were a bit sore at the end of the day, but I have more uncomfortable shoes. I wish the heel wasn't breaking on these... :(

Nice comfy short boot - I first purchased these in the charcoal nubuck. I'm now going back and ordering them in the other two colors. I find them quite comfortable and the wider toe box gives my toes plenty of room. I must admit, I wear them barefoot. I feel they are plenty warm enough for our Ohio winters, even without the socks. If socks are worn, I'd go for nylons, anything thicker might not give you the comfort you were looking for. They look great worn with pants, slacks, jeans etc... it sure doesn't hurt to give them a try especially with Zappos' return policy.

Comfortable shoe boot. My shoe size is typically 8, sometimes 8 ½ depending on the shoe and a regular width. I wear an 8 in Born without much room to spare, but 8 1/2 is too big. These Jarrah model boots are a good alternative to a fall/winter shoe. They are cushiony and should be worn with normal, not thick socks. They do not look big on your foot, but could have a slightly better overall shape. They are easy to slide on and were comfortable right out of the box.

Comfortable boot - These boots are so comfortable. No break in period required. The only problem is that they are very fitted so that only a nylon hose will fit comfortably. Regular socks make the boot too snug. Since they are leather, they may stretch. Ordering a larger size would have just made them too long because they are not too short. They fit best barefoot, but that is not practical for Midwestern winters.
Will buy in more colors! |

These boots are fantastic! I wanted a simple low-cut boot that I could wear casually, wear to work AND travel in. I bought the boots in the gray suede and after receiving them and trying them on, I quickly purchased them in the mahogany color. I have received multiple compliments on them and they are EXTREMELY comfortable. I highly recommed these boots.

Very cute shoes and the charcoal is a great color, nice alternative to black. Looks nice with navy, grey, black, red. I wore them to work all day the first time I wore them and they were very comfortable, no hot spots. Leather is soft and supple. The only con is the lack of footbed padding.

These shoes have wonderfully soft leather that felt great the whole day I worn them for the first time. The charcoal color is great..goes so well with black, navy, grey slacks. The only minor complaint I can make is the lack of foot bed padding, but I still like them and will wear them frequently.

Jarrah - Very comfortable basic boot. They can also fit orthotics inside to make them more supportive.
