Well worth the price - I've owned at least two pairs of Adidas GSG-9 since their first introduction to the United States Navy, more than a decade ago. I would not and have not been without them. They are very light in weight, but amazingly sturdy in construction. They can take on the sharp rocks of icy mountainous regions and the searing heat of desert with equal durability. (Note: I recommend one size larger and very thick socks for either extreme). In urban environments they perform better than any other combat boot I've worn...bar none. The break-in of the original GSG-9 (Version 1) was a bit lengthy (three weeks) and resulted in the formation of a callous on the top of the feet, due to tightness of the mid-point lacing structures. The new Version 2 seems to have eliminated this minor flaw. They break-in more quickly (a few days of regular wear) and with greater comfort. Moreover, the new soles are a marked improvement over the original soccer-style soles in rugged terrain environments. (Note: in terms of wear-resistance, the new soles offer significantly greater capabilities than their predecessors...sole-wear being the biggest weakness of the original GSG-9 boots). With the original GSG-9s I was able to get over three years of constant-wear, combined rugged and urban environments, before even having to consider replacing them. Even at that point, the only reason to replace one of these amazingly durable elements of footwear was the soles; the uppers remained in great condition with regular maintenance. My GSG-9 Version 2 is a wonderful improvement on an already great product. As I've told many operators, "If I could have only one combat boot for all ops, it would be the GSG-9".

I wear a 13 B (narrow) boot. My size is very difficult to find. Very few boots fit me well. Those that do are too heavy for what I need them for. I recently opened my own business. I am a training consultant in many fields to include Fitness and Self-Defense. In my line of business boots need to fit well and they have to be very light. I have been in the Army for 29 years (15 active; 14 in Reserves); I have never had a boot that fit me this well. When they arrived I put them on and went for a 5 mile speed walk. I cut 10 minutes off of my time. Everyone thought the boots had springs in them. After that I kicked the Muay Thai Heavy Bag for 20 minutes. It felt like I have gloves on my feet. The boots did not tear up the bag like the other boots I have. They feel like boxing shoes. In summary, I recommend these boots to everyone that needs a high performance tactical boot. Too bad they do not come in dark tan or coyote color. I hope this information is of help to all of you.

This is the boot to buy - GSG9-2 is a great boot, really comfortable, makes you look taller and in serious control of your body movement. I really feel confident walking wherever I want while wearing this boot, knowing that I won't slip on ice neither my legs would get wet. Yet it looks really nice sporty and classy at the same time. I've been buying timberlands boots for 6 years now but I felt like I need something new this time and GSG9-2 had a lot to offer. Honestly at first I felt weird wearing it (cuz I was used to timberland) but within a week I got used to it and this boot being extremely comfortable would force you to wear it. The size felt half size larger than marked but it wasn't a problem for me, in case I wear thick socks it feels like the size I needed. Highly recommended

Great Boot! I wear my GSG-9.2s everywhere and they always feel great. Out of the box broken in and very light and comfortable, these are just the ticket for all purpose day to day operations. Not the right boot for hunting, hiking long distances or mud and slush, (not waterproof) these boots fill the need for a quality everyday boot to go do your thing and not notice your feet. Total comfort and a very strong made boot, these feel like tennis shoes but are extremely tough. Every working man wants the perfect boot and this is it. Police, construction workers, truck drivers, postal workers, if you are out there doing it, you will love these Adidas boots.

GREAT SHOE - I am a RN and walk about 10 miles per 12 hour shift. I needed a shoe that was durable and comfortable with good support. Not exactly a traditional nursing shoe, however I can wedge my foot between stretcher and bed frames to release the breaks without as much as scuffing the shoe. When I get home I can spray them off with disinfectant and wipe dry, and the next morning they still look new. They feel more like a tennis shoe than a boot and at the end of my shift my feet are not sore and tired and shoe still looks great!

These boots are great for patrol work. Light weight and supportive. However, standing and walking all shift (10 hrs) on concrete can be a chore. I was expecting a running/athletic shoe feel. I didn't really get that feel from the cushioning. Need more cushioning for this environment! With that said, these are still a good duty boot for transitioning from car to calls. These are better than any patrol boot thus far due to the support and lighter weight (Danner, Magnum etc...). I would highly recommend these for patrol vs. corrections. Rocky's TMC line are the best for shock absorbency in a corrections environment.

| Awesome... I looked long and hard for the perfect shoe
and this is it! Tough and comfortable. Ive owned them two months. So far I have...
Crossed shallow creeks where the water was ankle high, all kinds of snow, ice and puddles- feet stayed dry.
Climbed snow covered trees and they gripped better than anything I had previously experienced. ... Walked all day on NYC pavement with no fatigue. ... Even played soccer with them and they where "ok" considering, not a scratch on them. Most highly recommended. |

I work as a first responder and these are a great pair of boots for the job. They feel more like Adidas sneakers than boots, so after having them on for 30+ straight your feet still aren't tired. The only downside is they are harder to get on in a hurry than boots with a zipper down the side, but the added comfort more than makes up for that. If you are on your feet for long periods or need a tough boot these are a great choice.

Cool and tough boot - I got this boot to wear when riding my motorcycle and also be able to wear off the bike. I liked the athletic shoe/military boot styling which was not too gung-ho for my taste. The fit is really good and the lacing allows for a good fit without making it too much of a chore to take on or off. Firm ankle support.

Great duty boot. Superior to other makers of "police" boots (I've tried them all). Very comfortable, lightweight, breathes well, even good in very cold weather, runs narrow. I have a huge/narrow foot. Seems if you have a size 14 foot, shoe makers think you should be a D-EE width. Adidas got it right with this one. Highly recommend. Only downside is no "zip side" available.
